A New Experiment

Day 1 of “Discovering notable songs, videos and bands”

“30 days of .. something” somehow sounds better than “A month of something”. Well, to me, anyway. But what I want to do, really, is to have an experiment where I post an entry daily for a month. I’m going to start in December or January, so it will be 31 days anyway, but that’s not the point.

Anyway, here is the first entry:

The Bastard Fairies

One of the more unknown bands in this list, The Bastard Fairies have only put out a few albums - and sadly their brilliant lead singer, Yellow Thunder Woman has passed away in 2021. It takes a special kind of humour, I think, to find joy in songs about going to hell, lobotomization and other topics musicians so often shy away from. I should also point out that it has, as you say, strong language. So don’t play it to your kids.

Here’s the video - have fun realising that we are all going to hell:

If you don’t like YouTube, I don’t blame you - watch it on Daily Motion instead. It also has better audio.

About me and this site

My name is Stefan, and I am an old geezer still trying not to panic as advised by Douglas Adams. For decades I have tried to “be normal”, but that never really worked out. Until I had a brilliant idea in 2025: why not use the synchronicities, the stochastical improbabilities and absurd experiences to create “Weirdness as a Service”? Well, and that’s what I did.

If you want to know more about what I offer, please check out my main site weirdness-as-a-service.com - here on this blog I want to do experiments with blogging, which might or might not be very unusual.

Thanks, it’s great that you’re here!

Buy me a coffee

Weirdness as a Service is still in its initial stages. That means that I’m learning as we do sessions together, so currently those are free (the 15 minute calls will always remain free, it’s the longer, structured calls I’m referring to). Still, if you feel you need to give me something in return, then I’d like to ask you to buy me a coffee - thank you, it’s much appreciated!

Let's talk

Whether you have a project you’d like to talk about, need an accountability buddy for something or generally just think you need some leftfield advice: book a free 15-minute call with me . I’m looking forward to chat!

Social Media

I don’t really do social media any longer. Most of them are time consuming and only give back bad emotions or try to manipulate me. I currently have a small insta account , but I don’t know how long I will keep that up.

If you need to reach me, send me an email! Where, you ask? Well, put ‘khae@’ at the beginning and add the name weirdness-as-a-service.com, and there you have it. Go on, I don’t bite (unless nicely asked to).
