Restaurant Casa Tagoro

On our first evening, the restaurant had to turn us away because we didn‘t have a reservation, but this time we did. The one thing that we didn‘t account for is that this restaurant is run by an Austrian family, so our food had a Central European twist to it. Which is fine, just not what we expected in Tenerife.

The wine was excellent, a red wine from the island; the starters and the mains were good. I had the feeling that my duck was a bit on the dry side, but I have to admit I am very picky when it comes to duck. After all, ducks and I have a long, long history.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, and we chatted away in German – Austrian, if you will – and the time passed easily. Maybe that‘s not the recommendation the restaurant wishes for; it certainly is a nice place and the food is good, but if you‘re looking for Spanish cuisine, maybe choose a different place.
